prayer of a Breton Fisherman

Lord, the sea is so wide and my boat is so small. Be with me.

the bomb dream

well, I'm not entirely sure if this is a dream from the Lord, or not. In my dream last night, terrorists had planted a bomb underwater (but I really thought "the bomb" was the Holy Spirit) and there were already 40 people underwater looking for it. So I was thinking, "why dive in?" but I knew that if I dived under water I would find it.

So, I went underwater and I found the bomb -- it was in an instrument case. I gave it to the authorities -- all the time I was so anxious that it was going to explode at any moment. The last thing I remember of the dream, we were in a mall and the bomb was on the 2nd floor, we were on the 1st floor, and we were all on the ground and bracing ourselves for the explosion.

Then I woke up at 3:59a.m. which was awesome b/c I've wanted to get back onto my early, early morning schedule and that was a good start to it.

Hmmm, so I have a number of thoughts about this dream. 40 is a biblical number, I looked it up on the tehillah dream dictionary, and it said 40 represents "trials and testing"

Also, I think finding a bomb in an instrument case = musical gift. While "giving it to the authorities" means giving it to God.

Not sure why I had to "dive in" to get it. I mean, I know water has many biblical meanings...This dream sort of reminds me of one of my favorite, hehehe, dreams --it was actually someone's conversion experience, which I will post below, Lauren F. Winner.

darn, can not find that dream on-line. It's described in this article as "and her conversion from Judaism to evangelical Christianity involved a dream about being kidnapped by mermaids and rescued by Daniel Day-Lewis—who she later realized was Jesus (sassy!)" but it is not Winner's exact wording (which is so funny...) http://www.somareview.com/lauren_winner.cfm

Or in this article "She found herself 'courted by a very determined carpenter from Nazareth,' one who haunted her dreams."
